Julian Oliver

Julian Oliver FRSA is a producer, director and creative strategist with over 25 years of experience in content production across Africa, Arabia, Europe, North America, the Far East and South Asia. His work spans documentary, factual, branded content and digital campaigns for global and regional audiences.

Recent projects include productions for Amazon Prime UK and the US, including two USA ‘Major League’ sports projects, and the development of the feature documentary Hope Academy, based on transformational human journeys of young people in the Chicago Projects. Julian is currently producing in Arabia, delivering blue chip factual, feature documentaries, experiential and IMAX and developing a new natural-history brand for global markets, concluding with a curated exhibition at Eton College.

Julian is a founder and lead practitioner at BTWL CIC, a nonprofit foundation funded by BBC Children in Need, the National Lottery and the East London Business Alliance. The foundation delivers programmes focused on impact, mentoring, employability, film making skills, resilience, work experience and alternative pathways. Supporting organisations include British Airways, Chelsea FC, Hilton, National School of Film & Television, and Wembley Stadium.

He also supported the launch the Football Aftercare Academy, ‘Behind The White Lines’, which works with young teenage football scholars released from professional contracts, providing mentoring and new pathways into academia, football, sport and other career areas.

Alongside production, Julian delivers digital marketing, content creation and campaign strategy for clients ranging from global brands to SMEs, supporting positioning and audience engagement.

Julian’s charitable activity includes delivering music festivals, art exhibitions, gala dinners, sports events and tournaments, completing marathons, summiting Pico Aneto and achieving an Arctic world record in support of fundraising initiatives.
